SCS Global Services Joins Low Carbon Fuels Coalition
SCS Recently Approved for Independent Verification Under Oregon Clean Fuels Program
Today, the Low Carbon Fuels Coalition (LCFC), announced its newest member: SCS Global Services. SCS, an international leader in third-party certification and verification for environmental sustainability, recently became approved as an independent verification body for the Oregon Clean Fuels Program. SCS has been providing high quality verification of biofuel and alternative fuel supply chains for over ten years and has more than 25 years of experience in agriculture, greenhouse gas and forestry certification. The LCFC is a technology-neutral trade association with a proven track record of supporting and expanding clean fuel standards.
“We welcome SCS as our newest Coalition member. Their extensive experience providing validations and verifications across multiple biofuel sectors reinforces our performance-based, technology-neutral approach to reducing carbon emissions in states like Oregon, which have successfully adopted market-driven Clean Fuel Standards” said Graham Noyes, Executive Director of the LCFC.
“We are excited to join LCFC as they enter an exciting new phase of growth working with state policymakers and at the federal level to support and expand clean fuel transportation policy across the United States. As a leading global verification body for the Low Carbon Fuel Standard and other low carbon fuels programs, joining the LCFC fit perfectly with our work and mission,” said Matthew Rudolf, Vice President, International Business of SCS Global Services.
SCS Global Services is an approved verifier for the California Low Carbon Fuels Standard and the Oregon Clean Fuels Program. They provide fuel pathway validations, annual verifications of fuel pathway reports, annual verifications of quarterly fuel transportation reports, and quarterly reviews of fuel transaction reports. SCS has nearly 20 lead verifiers in the US and internationally with direct experience in ethanol, biodiesel, and renewable natural gas.
In addition to CA LCFS and Oregon CFP, SCS verifies sustainable supply chains under the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) system, the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB), the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), Bonsucro Certification and the Colombian low carbon biofuel program (Resolution 1962).
